Best time to visit Las Vegas
Vegas never closes, but the experience — and the room rate — swings a lot through the year. Summer brings serious desert heat, spring and fall are pool-perfect, and a single big event can double hotel prices overnight. Here's how to time it.
Season by season
Spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) are the sweet spots: warm days, pool weather and comfortable evenings. Summer (June–August) regularly tops 40°C / 104°F — fine if your plan is pool-and-casino, brutal for walking the Strip at 2pm. Winter is mild and cheaper, but most pools scale back and evenings get cold.
Event spikes
CES in January, March Madness, big fights, F1 weekend in November and major conventions can double or triple room rates citywide. If your dates are flexible, shift a few days and compare — midweek almost always beats the weekend.
Pools and day clubs
Pool season runs roughly March to October, with day clubs peaking April–September. If the pool scene matters to you, avoid December–February, when many pools operate limited hours or close.
